A welder is responsible for repairing damaged pieces of metal or assembling pieces of metal using heavy machinery that releases heat, and that heat melts the metal into place.

A welder’s responsibilities may vary according to the industry they are working in.  Some of their duties may include, reviewing blueprints, cutting metal, smoothing melted metal to remove creases, and sourcing the material that will be used in the project. 

They may also help set up scaffolding to reach high places.
