Nuclear Power Plant Controller
Nuclear power plant controllers are responsible for the safe operations of nuclear reactors. They have several responsibilities, monitoring equipment that is used to detect radiation levels. They maintain and repair equipment used in the nuclear power plant.
They inspect equipment to ensure that it is not malfunctioning and they perform tests on the equipment to ensure they perform properly.
Working in this career can be stressful as you must be able to make quick and safe decisions in emergencies. They implement procedures that regulate the start-up or shutdown of the facility.
These controllers, control the nuclear reactor, adjust control rods, monitor the reactors and respond to abnormalities, and repair them.
